​Community screening application guide

Meet Matchbox Film in the space of your choice.

If you plan an event in a community that wants to be screened, Matchbox will deliver a screening copy of the movie. Screening subjects can be schools, workplaces, small groups, etc., and the screening location can be any place where movies can be screened, such as seminar rooms, offices, and cafes. Films are a medium that conveys various social messages, and contains the worries and philosophies of people living in the same time period. Matchbox distributes short films that honestly deal with the lives of women and sexual minorities, and we hope that the social value of our films will be spread through community screenings.

Q. What is a community screening?
A. Community screening is an alternative screening method that overcomes the screening limitations of independent films by viewing a movie in a theater or a place other than the theater. If you plan an event in a community that wants to be screened, Matchbox will deliver a screening copy of the movie. Screening subjects can be schools, workplaces, small groups, etc., and the screening location can be any place where movies can be screened, such as seminar rooms, offices, and cafes.

Matchbox distributes short films that honestly deal with the lives of LGBT people, and aims to spread the social value of our films through community screenings.

Q. What is the procedure for the community screening?
1. Select a matchbox movie that matches the purpose of the screening/meeting
2. Apply on the Matchbox website (matchboxllc.kr/film) and contact us by phone
3. After confirming payment, the screening copy will be sent (at least 5 days before the screening)
4. Test screening of the screened version
5. Happy screening!
6. Return of the screened copy

Q. What movies can be screened?
A. All distributions posted on the Matchbox website are available for screening. Matchbox mainly distributes short films screened at major LGBT film festivals such as the Seoul Pride Film Festival.

Q. What is the screening fee?
A. Matchbox sets the screening fee based on the expected number of viewers to guarantee the director's copyright fee in the poor independent film distribution market. Please refer to the notice below for detailed rates.

Q. Is GV event possible?
A. Matchbox supports the director and audience of the work to meet. However, the invitation fee and transportation fee must be set and paid separately.
